Covid19: Nasarawa state records two new cases.

Nasarawa state government said it has recorded two new cases of corona virus in the state.

Governor Abdullahi sule who made the disclosure while addressing journalists at government house Lafia Thursday also said out of 12 samples took among Lagos, kano and other returnees from the state two were confirmed positive and that confirmed negative are still undergoing other observations to authenticate their health status before they would be released. Engineer sule further stated that so far,about 40 returnees are currently in Dr.Isa Mustapha Agwai polytechnic Lafia where their blood samples were collected and taken to Abuja to confirm their status after which they would be released. He commended President Muhammad Buhari for banning inter state traveling which he said has gone along way in tackling the spread of corona virus in the country. The Governor urged security agents who are enforcing restrictions of movements to maintain the tempo in order to kick out covid19 pandemic in the state The Governor further explained that those found negative were moved to the isolation unit of Dalhatu Araf specialist hospital (DASH) where they are currently receiving treatments. The Governor commended the people of the state for their patient, tolerance and understanding most especially at this trying period and urged them in the best interest of the state and the country. On the gender of those found positive, the Governor said all of them are females who returned from Lagos He said he met with the religious leaders, members of NURTW, and tricycles riders in the state on need to tackle the spread of the pandemic in the state where they pledged to give every support to the Government to enable them succeed on the tasks ahead. Governor sule called on the people of the state to report anybody that comes from risk state to the law enforcement agents for appropriate action.
