The Paramount ruler of Akye Nation,( Oron Akye) Alhaji Abdullahi Magaji has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
Report says the Oron Akye was kidnapped on Thursday night at his residence in Ugah, Lafia local government of Nasarawa state.
According to an impeccable source, the gunmen who came on motorcycle to the residence of the paramount ruler, shot sporadically to scare the people of the village who ran for their lives enabling them to pick the traditional ruler on motorcycle to an unknown destination.
All efforts to trace their whereabout proved abortive as no one could give the correct direction they took the traditional ruler of Akye nation to.
A competent source further explained that the kidnappers wore hijab during their operations in order to disguise themselves, a situation that showed clearly there are insiders among them.
The police public relations officer (PPRO) Nasarawa state police command, ASP Nansel Ramhan when contacted said he could not say anything about the situation as he put several calls to the Divisional police officer (DPO) but could not get him and pledged to call back as soon as possible..
