Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has urged the security agents in the state to sustain the successes they achieved in Toto local government Area of the state.
The Governor who made the call at the opening of security meeting held with heads of security agencies in the state Tuesday also called on them to maintain the tempo.
The Governor who was particularly happy with the rescue of over 400 victims of Darasalam attacks from different parts of the country who were rescued in Toto local government Area of the state pledged to support the security agents in the state to enable them discharge their duties effectively. While commending them for a job weldone , the Governor also appealed to them to ensure that criminals are rid out of the state. He called on traditional rulers, religious leaders as well as the people of the state to report any suspecious movement to the security agents for appropriate action. The meeting was attended by government officials, traditional rulers, security chiefs in the state amongst others. It will be recalled that about three weeks ago, some members of Islamic movement,(Darasalam) were arrested by the combined operation of security agents in the state where more than 700 people were rescued in Toto local government Area of the state and were since returned to their States of origins to meet members of their families,a situation that made the people of the state to have more confidence on the security agents in the state.
