Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has presented#l N20.2 billion 2020 supplementary budget to the state house of Assembly. Speaker of the house, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi who made this known at the floor of the house when majority leader hon. Umar Tanko Tunga presented on behalf of the Governor Wednesday. The speaker assured the Assembly’s readiness to do justice to the budget for development to thrive. “A bill for a law to issue out of consolidated revenue fund(20,376,3080 only as supplementary appropriation bill 2020 for the services of the state of the Nasarawa state government for the period of two months November,1st 2020and ending December 31st 2020 scaled second reading.” “I will commit the bill to the house committee on finance and appropriation to work on the bill and report back to the house on November 23rd 202/. Earlier, house leader, Umar Tanko Tunga whole Moving the motion for the bill to scale second reading said that the supplementary budget was necessary due to the effects of Covid19 pandemic on the economy.”we are all aware how Covid19 pandemic affected the economy negatively,it has affected every aspect of our lives negatively, hence the need for the supplementary budget.” He called on his colleagues to give the supplementary budget an accelerated passage.
