The Nasarawa state house of Assembly has screened and confirmed a 28- year- old lawyer, Hannatu Abimiku and 14 others as commissioer- nominees sent to it by Governor Abdullahi Sule as members of the state executive Council.
It would be recalled that Governor Abdullahi Sule on Thursday last week nominated the 28- year- old law graduate from Lafia local guy Area of the state alongside 14 others to be screened and confirmed by the state house of Assembly.
Announcing ty confirmation during the house sitting Wednesday after the screening exercise, speaker of the house. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi urged them to live above board while discharging their duties when they are sworn- in by the Governor. ” Am glad to announce that after thorough screening exercise of the 15 Commissioner- nominees sent to us by Governor Abdullahi Sule, they have all been confirmed by members of the house. So, we will await their swearing-in which is at the discretion of the governor.”.
Those confirmed includes Hon. Yakubu Kwanta, Akwanga local government Area,Hon.Yusuf Aliyu Turaki,Awe local government Area, hon.l Hannatu Abimiku, Lafia local government Area, Hajiya Aisha Rufai Ibrahim,Awe local government Area. Hon Salihu Ennah,Doma local government Area, Hon.Nuhu Oshafu, keana local government Area,Hon. Idris Muhammad Idris,keffi local government Area, and Barrister Abdulkareem Kana, Kokona Local Government Area.
Others are Muhammad Sarki, Lafia local government Area, Hajiya Fati Jimeta Sabo, Nasarawa Local Government Area,Hon. Yakubu Lawal, Nasarawa Eggon local government Area,Hon.Daniel Agyeno, Obi local government Area, Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya, Toto local government Area, and Hon.Lucky Yargwa Isaac, Wamba local guy Area.
