Governor Simon Bako Lalong has notified all public officers occupying Public Offices under his administration in plateau state who interests in political ambition to contest in the forth coming 2023 general electons to resign their appointments on or before 28″ February, 2022
Governor Lalong’s notice is contained in a letter issued by the Secretary to the government of the state, Prof. Danladi Atu and sent to all ministries, boards and parasternals.
The letter reads in parts; “as the countdown to 2023 general elections draws nearer and in the face of the heightened political activites it has become necessary for Goverment to provide a evel playing ground for all political actors especially those in Government to exercise their fundamental human rights”.
He said, the essence of this notice is to reduce to the barest minimum, political distractions in governance and enable such concerned Public Officers to focus on their aspirations”.
He however wished them successes in their future endeavours.
