A coalition of youth Organisations in Nasarawa State have assured president Muhammadu Buhari of a rousing welcome to the state on Thursday and Friday this week.
Also, the group have endorsed senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura as the APC National Chairman.
Addressing a press conference in Lafia on Monday, Chairman national youth council of Nigeria ( NYCN) Nasarawa State chapter who represented the group during the occasion commended president Muhammadu Buhari for his giant strides in the state especially in the area of insfrastructural development in the state.
He mentioned some areas that president Buhari touched to include the construction of Loko -Oweto bridge and links road that connects East and Northern part of the country. Construction of central bank of Nigeria Lafia zonal office, construction of Federal Secretariat, construction of Mararaba- Aso- Gurku-IDP camp road and the construction of Garin Ruwa water fall road amongst other projects.
The state youths leader therefore used the occasion to call on the people of Nasarawa State most especially the youth to come out en masse to give president Muhammadu Buhari a rousing welcome.
On the candidature of senator Tanko Al – Makura as the APC National Chairman, the state youth leader assured the former governor and now senator representing Nasarawa South at the national Assembly their unalloyed support and cooperation to ensure his success. “We have directed our members who are members of APC to endorse him for the position of APC National Chairman for the best interest of the party and national development.”.
The coalition of the national youth council of Nigeria also Commended governor Abdullahi Sule for his development strides in the state which according to them includes sustainable peace in the state, the Lafia and karu bus terminals, the facilitation of Investment by Azman Rice limited,( to cultivate 14,000 hectares in Toto local government Area of the state to boost the backward integration strategy of the national sugar master plan with flour Mills of Nigeria to cultivate over 20,000 hectares in Toto local government Area. amongst other notable achievements.
He therefore called on the people of the state to join hands with governor Abdullahi Sule in his quest in developing the state by supporting his policies and Programmes.
