Wike Lambasts Lalong, Says APC Project In Plateau State Is Killings And Banditry

Governor of Rivers state, His Execllency, and a frontline presidential aspirant in the 2023 general election, Nyeson Wike on Saturday stormed Jos, the capital city of Plateau state to canvass support from Plateau delegates.

Those in company of the visit were His Execllency, Hassan Dankwambo (Fmr Governor of Gombe state),  Bello Adoke SAN (Fmr Attorney-General and Minister of Justice), Hon. Austin Okpara (Fmr Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives), Sen. George Sekibo among other dignatories.

Addressing National Delegates at Eliel Centre, Rayfield, Jos, Wike lambasts the ruling party, under the leadership of Governor Simon Lalong, for not doing much for the state, saying, the only Project the ruling APC has offered the people of Plateau State is banditry.

According to him, “The only Project the ruling APC has given the people of Plateau State is banditry and killings. What you hear everyday on the Plateau is death of 10, 20, 30, 100 people, this is unfortunate and unacceptable”.

He called on the people of the state to ensure that the PDP takes over power in 2023 and save the state from total destruction, explaining that he was in Jos personally to informed them of his intention to contest for the Office of the President Federal Republic of Nigeria, and that he was the only person who is credible and capable of clearing the mess and rebuild the country caused by the APC’s  monumental destructions.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Plateau State Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Chris Adukuchili Hassan said that Wike has been a friend of the people of Plateau State. He particularly recalled with sense of pride how the aspirant waded in and resolved the internal squabble that bedeviled the party in the state leading to the winning of the Bye-Election for Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency which hitherto eluded the party for almost 20 years.

Hassan further said that Plateau delegates would surely considered Wike stressing that it was pay back time taking into cognizance the numerous assistance Wike has offered the party in the state.

Goodwill messages came from Sen. ID Gyang, who spoke on behalf of members of the National Assembly at the event, Hon .Peter Gyendeng, member representing Barkin Ladi state Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly, who spoke on behalf of all other members of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Goar, on behalf of former Speakers, Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Beni Lar, who spoke on behalf of women.
