Plateau Sets Up monitoring Team To Checkmate Activities Of Unfaithful Members In APC.

Appparently disturbed  by reports of unsincereable political followers, leadership of the All Peopels Congress, APC Plateau State is muting to set an in house secret monitoring team to check such excesses.

 Tje Plateau state governor Simon  Bako Lalong, his campaign DG, Arch. Pam Dung Gyang observed that it nolonger trust some of its Parry  supporters.

The DG of the  Lalong/ Tyoden 2019 re-election Campaign, Arch. Pam Dung Gyang, on his part  frowns at the lackerdiscal attitudes of its party supporters to the cause of ensuring that the the governor and his Deputy are re-election to the Rayfirld Government House.

Architect Pam Dung Gyang observed that most of them are not committed to the cause but rather are pursuing their selfish interest, hinging on what they could get and their interest in the 2013.

He said the Party is desired to winning the next month general elections for both the Presidential seat, Governorship seats, National and States Assemblies, saying that any person found to be a stubling block would be exposed  to face a scandalous music.

The DG who disclosed this Tuesday during the inauguration of the campaign council at the Eliel Center in Jos, charged the council members to go down their wards, to the local government andvhiy the ball rolling towards ensuring that APC wins the polls without any hitces.

Also Speaking, the Secretary of the APC, Mallam Bashil Musa who stood in for his party Chairmen, Lateb Dabang  expressed absolute coonfifence in the ability of the personalities that make up the campaign council team. 

He changed them to put in their best to ensure that they actualised the desire to return all APC candidates from the president down the radder to the seats aspirations.

 Inaugurating the State Campaign Council of the Rescue Administration’s re-election team for the purpose of achieving victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections, Governor Lalong Commended those who have made the Campaign Council list.

 “You are, no doubt, loyal and  faithful party members chosen  out of the thousands and thousands of party enthusiasts, to help in prosecuting the state’s campaign committee. 

“I also thank you immensely for accepting the join us on the  council. Having been found worthy and privileged to be appointed into this team of wise men and women, you are hereby tasked with the onerous responsibility of ensuring a seemless victory for the party in the elections ahead. 

“You will recall that since the APC took over the reins of power almost four years ago from the then ruling party, PDP, it has been victory galore for our dear party in virtually all the elections that have been conducted in the state to date. This was clearly demonstrated, particularly during the House of Assembly bye-elections, as well as the recently conducted local government elections. Our victory in these elections eloquently testify to the fact that our party is solidly on ground and that the electorate is solidly behind us. 

“As an incumbent Government, which has recorded stunning electoral victories against the opposition, and has also achieved so much with so little resources within a record time of less than four years, we must, however, not rest on our oars and be complacent in the task ahead. We must, therefore, do everything legitimately possible to ensure landslide victory, and not mere marginal victory, for our party in all the forthcoming elections.

“I, therefore, urge you immediately after your inauguration today, to hit the ground running. This has become necessary, especially considering that the elections are already around the corner, time is not on our side and the opposition are digging in to gain some political foothold if we slip. 

“Each and every one of us should therefore deploy his talent, training, experience and resources and give this unique assignment the seriousness it deserves with the ultimate aim of delivering victory for the party in all the elections.

“Let me at this juncture inform other members of the party whose names did not make the campaign council list that they were not included only because space and logistic constraints could not permit us. 

“Certainly, it is practically impossible to have everybody’s name in the list. Suffice it to say that we are collectively stakeholders in this project and so you have equal, if not more roles to play, than members of the council, as far as the forthcoming election is concerned.

“You should bear in mind that the election is about the future of our dear state. You should vigorously take the Rescue Message to intra-family, neighbor-to-neighbor, ward-to-ward levels of the campaigns. 

“The people at the grassroots ought to know from you nothing else but the truth. They should be made to understand that those who are responsible for their present poverty woes today, destroyed the education of their children yesterday and looted the national and state treasuries yesterday are the same people seeking to replace APC and return to power to perpetuate the misery of the masses. 

“Their only aim is return to power to continue their looting spree to the detriment of all of us. Never again should we allow them access to power!

‘let me reiterate that the Rescue Administration under my leadership has achieved so much in the past almost four years now and laid a solid foundation for the Plateau State of our collective dreams. The Constitution has already stipulated that we seek re-election for a second term in office and our aim is to return and consolidate on our modest achievements for the benefit of the people. 

“The APC family and indeed the entire people of Plateau State owe us the duty of returning the party to power, failing which we will risk returning the state to the very people who had mortgaged her future and made it the sole inheritance of their own families.

“Already, our record time scorecard in less than four years speaks for itself, cutting across all our five policy thrusts, as we have unleashed the dividends of democracy which have continued to flow and flood all the nooks and crannies of the entire Plateau landscape, thus justifying our bid for re-election in order to continue to do more and consolidate on the ones already put in place. 

“We have, for instance, turned around the Education Sector; we have breathed life into the hitherto comatose civil service; we have stemmed the hitherto open-ended spate of violence; we have diversified the state’s economy to agriculture with amazing results to be savored in the not-too-distant future; we have empowered women and youths like never before; we have resuscitated hitherto moribund state-owned industries; we have completed most of the multi-billion naira projects which we inherited from past administrations and also embarked on new, turn-key projects, such as the Lalong Legacy Projects, among numerous others. 

‘At this point, I wish to extend my olive branch to all the opposition parties in the state to join hands with us because our victory is a victory for the entire state and not for the APC alone. 

“We must altogether eschew the politics of do-or-die, violence, conflict and rather strive towards creating a better Plateau State for our children yet unborn. We must learn to accept defeat when we lose elections and congratulate the winner without resorting to self-help.  Let me warn that those found on the wrong side of the law in this regard will be severely dealt with in accordance with the laws.

“Let me, once again, congratulate the members of the Campaign Council and also thank all our burgeoning party faithful, followers and supporters, for their unalloyed support, cooperation and understanding, in all these years that we have been striving to rescue the state from past decay and rebuild it  in line with our vision for the state of our collective dreams”.
