2019: Don’t Sale Your votes, Yoruba Community Leader Cautions Members.

Yoruba Community Development Association, Plateau State chapter has appealed to its members to resist any form of inducement that would lure them into vote selling during the February 16 presidential and National Assembly elections.
The group in a statement signed by its Chairmen, John Ogunmola and Secretary, Taiye Adesola, and made available to Journalists on Wednesday, the association challenged members to be upright in the discharge of their civic obligation during the polls.
“The Yoruba Community call on her members never to allow any person or group to lure them to sell their PVCs no matter the inducement from any politician with selfish interest.
“We wish to appeal to all our members and the entire Yoruba Community especially, those who are resident within the Jos and Bukuru metropolis to ensure that the go out enmass to collect their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVCs) as the 2019 general election draw closer.
“The Association which is aimed at promoting unity among it’s members and her host Community also admonish all Yoruba to co-exist peacefully with all irrespective of difference in religious, ethnic and political affiliation.”
The statement said the association is working to educate and guide her members on the choice of right candidates that will bring gains of democracy to Plateau and Nigeria.
It pledged to support Government and security agencies to ensure a free, fair and peaceful elections to enthrone unity and development of the country.
Chairman and Executive members of Yourba community Development Association Jos Plateau state on Wednesday called on their members in the state to remain vigilant and peace before ,during and after the forthcoming general elections .
The group in a statement made available to newsmen and jointly signed by John Ogunmola its chairman and Taiye Adesola the Secretary reads that we call on our members who are yet to collect their PVCs to do so with immediate effect and never allow anyone or group of people to induce them to sell their voters card .
We call on Nigerians to remain united and prayerful more than ever before for a peaceful free and fair elections at all levels.
