Confusion Trails ADP Over Suspension And Reinstatement Of Officers

By Moses Gbande

Barely 24 hours after the leaders of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) and the National Working Committee of the ADP ordered for the returned Office  those that were illegally suspended recently, the disagreement seems to have errupted in the party.

The Plateau State Working Committee of the Action Democratic Party in a statement it has received with shock a statement credited to Rev. Ambassador Danladi Mamut, that a meeting was held in Lagos state and a directive has been issued for all suspended and officers restructured to return to their offices including the former state chairman Chief Ambassador Andrew Nanyak Daman.

The statement issued the plateau state publicity Secretary Danladi Auta reads in part, “the Plateau state SWC is hereby informing Local Government EXCOs, Elders, and all party faithfuls that they should disregard such information as the information was not coming from a constitutional recognized authority.

“We wish to make it clear that in as much as we are open to any peaceful resolution of the issues that led to either suspension or the restructuring of party officials, however we are against any move by some group of persons that are being sponsored to bring our great party into shame and rubbish our chances of winning election in the state.

“We are all aware that some of these people suspended had already aligned with the APC and records are their to prove that they have been playing key rolls in the ongoing campaigns of the APC in the state, therefore they are only been used to destroy our party which the APC sees as a treat to winning Plateau governorship election.

“We call on all party faithfuls to remain resolute and unshaken as everything is been done to get over this. We are also assuring members that ADP in Plateau state remain one united family poised to taking over power come what may and our loyalty is still with the Gideon Adamu led leadership of the Party in the state and urged everyone to disregard any rumour contrary to this”.
