PRESS STATEMENT: PDP Dictates Pre-elecetion Frauds In Plateau State.

The Peoples Democratic Party PDP says it received credible information of happenings within a Jos-based large scale printing outfit located in Bisichi, Jos South Local Government there are ongoing electoral manipulations allegedly going on there.
The PDP campaign through the state chairmen Media and publicity, Yiljap Abraham says the Peoples Democratic Party and peace-loving people of Plateau State very serious concerned with the inundated by series of reports of what appear to be clandestine activities within the company premises that are related with the production, storage, haulage and usage of sensitive election materials such as Ballot papers.
“The company has been given unusual security cover and latest reports reaching the PDP indicate that more than a dozen vehicles have been spotted by the community conveying people into the premises of the printing press.
“The PDP is raising this public concern for many reasons: That, the Executive Chairman of this private company was once a federal law-maker representing Plateau State who is now a confidant of the stats Governor under the APC administration;
“That, the company owns and operates many machines that have the capacity for serious security-related printing;
“That, the APC is restless and desperate to try just any scheme to win the national elections – including hiring, training, kitting and deploying thugs; cloning PVCs during musical concerts; destroying the campaign materials of opponents, providing safe havens for well-known corrupt public officials; destabilising the judiciary by removing and replacing its head illegally, its merciless onslaught on the National Assembly to effect a leadership change, deploying security services and INEC to play outs its script in elections, and its reckless approach to the rule of law”.
Adding that, “the reality is that APC’s insatiability with and propensity for acquiring power by trampling on the sensibility and democratic rights of people are legendary.
“What the party, the state electoral umpire (PLASIEC) and government appointees carefully planned and executed in the Local government elections in October 2018 are all pointers to a party that cannot be trusted even when all is at peace”. “PDP therefore calls on the security services in Plateau State to investigate this company and its activities in the run up to the elections.
“PDP appeals to its supporters and members to remain at the highest alert level to thwart the forces that are determined to maintain Plateau in the grip of anti-democratic, anti-people and anti-progress elements and conspiracies. ‘To maintain the peace and security of Plateau State is a duty on everyone’s business”.
