Plateau commissioner Barrister Festus Fuanter donates two bore holes ,generator to Communities

Plateau Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Town Planning, Barr. Festus Fuanter, at the weekend donated two boreholes to Tudun Wada and Angwan Hausawa communities and a generator for the Primary Health Care Clinic in the LEA Primary School all in Shendam Central Ward ‘B’ of Shendam LGA.

Speaking during the commissioning of the borehole in Tudun Wada community the Commissioner said he was touched by their perennial water scarcity and the suffering which children and women go through to source water in a community that is within the metropolis of Shendam.

He called on the benefitting community to constantly maintain and ensure the judicious use of the water facility.

Responding on behalf of the community, Mr Syvanus Walu thanked the Hon. Commissioner for his benevolence and called on other illustrious sons and daughters of the LGA as well as other politician to emulate such good gesture.

Similarly Barr Festus Fuanter also held a meeting with the Community Leaders of the Angwan Hausawa area of the Shendam Central Ward ‘B’ where he briefed the Leaders on the efforts of Government in alleviating the suffering of the masses and went on to also donated a borehole to the area and requested that they should immediately decide the location within the community after which work will commence immediately.

In his remarks, a Community Leader in the Area Alh Ahmadu Kankia thanked the Commissioner for coming to enlighten them on Government efforts and specifically commended him for the donation of a borehole to the community. This according to him, will bring the Government closer to the people.
In a similar development, the Commissioner also visited the LEA Primary Healthcare Clinic in the Shendam Central Ward ‘B’ where he donated a brand new generator to the Clinic having received report that Nurses have been receiving Child birth with kindle lights. Accepting the generator on behalf of the LGC, the Deputy Chairman, Mr William Titlong thanked the Commissioner for his kind gesture and stated, that Government alone cannot provide for all the needs of the community but with such partnerships with selfless individuals, the community will be better off.
