Lawmaker, Top Political Office Holders Read Riot Act During Saturday Polls, Calls For Deployment Of More Security To Southern Plateau

High- ranking political office holders in Plateau State, including a Lawmaker representing Langtang North/Langtang-south Consttituency in the house of representattives, Hon. Beni Lar have raised alarm over synics moves by some politicians to disrupt this Saturday Presidential and National Assemblies elections in Plateau State.
The Federal Lawmaker who is also seeking for the re-election for the same position under the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming election has accused the Plateau state government of planning to use thugs to manipulate the 2019 general elections in her constituency.
Lar, in a news conference in Jos on Wednesday evening said thugs have being hired to interfere with the elections in favour of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“The state Governor is planning and plotting all manners of unlawful devices to undermine the coming elections with rigging plots aimed at forcing unpopular candidates against the wishes of the good people of my zone. .
“Langtang North and South is the strong hold of the PDP and we would not allow that to happen ,so we are appealing to the state Governor to ensure that the elections are conducted free and fair in the zone .”
“Langtang is one of the most peacefull areas in the state, but because, the Governorship candidate, Senatorial candidate and house of representattives candidates under PDP are from there, and some people are head bent at causing problem, to subvent the will of the people”.
Also speaking to journalists on telephone, Barrister Peter Dandam Kefas, the PDP senatorial Candidate for Plateau south collaborated the words of the Lawmaker, saying “we have uncovered a plot by the Plateau state Governorment to rig the elections and we would resisit any attempt by the state Government to disrupt peacefully elections in Langtang North and south .
“We want the Media to tell Government and internal community that we want free and fair election, we don’t want any lost of life life because of position, we need more security in southern zone do as to protect lives, property, and electoral materials”.
