Barr. I. D Gyang Emerges Plateau North Senator Elect, As Jos North/Bassa Election Declared Inconclusive

The Controversy sourrouding the last Saturday’s National Assembly Elections in Plateau State might have been laid to rest, as INEC finally announced the results fine days after the elections were conducted.
The Collation and Returning officers for the Plateau North Senatorial District, Professional Christopher Vande of the University of Jos has on Thursday evening declared Barr. I. D Gyang I’mas winner of the Senatorial seat.
The National Assembly elections were conducted on last Saturday 23rd, February 2019. The major contenders were APC vs PDP, where the APC Candidate, Rufus Bature scored 171, 233 while the PDP Candidate Istifanus D. Gyang scored 269,555 to emerge victorious.
Meanwhile, the position for Jos North/Bassa Federal Consttituency, Jos Not qorth Collation Officer Joc Alexander announced the results as follows, APC 87,361, PDP 53,416.
He said the result of Tudun wada/Kabong was not included, due to some lapses that led to the cancellation of the Election in these areas.
Conseqently, the returning Officer, Prof. Christopher Vande Declares the results of the election into the house of representattives for Bassa/Jos North federal Consttituency as inconclusive, saying INEC will fix a new date for a re-run.
