Gen. Temlong Promises To End Theatre Of Killings In Plateau

The Gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party(ADP) Gen. Jon Temlong has reiterated his commitment in putting an end to the killings in Plateau State if elected as Governor come March 9th, 2019.

He said Plateau has become the killing ground of Middle Belt due to lack of political will to addressed the root caused of the menaced.

Temlong stated this yesterday while featuring on the Media Forum of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Plateau State Council held at the Press Centre in Jos the state capital.

According to him, “Over the years, Plateau have been a killing field in the Middle Belt and the political will to get this right is not there.

“You can not have peace where you don’t have freedom, you can not have peace where people are separated from their ancestral land, you can not have freedom when people are living in IDP camps but the government keep laying and they don’t want people to talk about the reality!”

He condemned the conduct of the presidential elections in the country describing it as “Militarization of Democracy” by the Buhari led government.

Gen. Temlong described the rebuilding moves of the Jos burnt main market by the Lalong led government as a “Big deciet.”

“When Lalong came on board he promised to rebuilt the Jos burnt Main market before the end of his administration until now at the twilight of his exit before he is talking about it for votes. But Plateau people must be careful not to fall into this deciet.”

The ADP Guber candidate promised to handled the rebuilding of the market with utmost commitment into an international/tourist destination in the world.

“Within the first one year, we are not just rebuilding it but we are going to be redesigned and develope to meet up with international centre so that it can become a tourist Centre where people go there to relax also and if elected I will do that.”
