Police Wants The Public To Ignore Inciting Document Entitled, ‘Final Jihad On Plateau”, says, It Is Fake.

Plateau State Police Command says it has received with dismay an inciting document titled ‘The Final Jihad on the Plateau’ which is being circulated by mischief makers on the Plateau with the sole aim of creating fears, anxiety and hate among the peace loving people of Plateau State with the aim of causing a breakdown of law and order in the State.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Terna Mathias Tyopev in a statement said after a thorough and careful investigation, the Plateau State Police Command realised that the initiator of the inciting document opened a fake Face book Account just for this purpose which has since been closed down.
According to him, the Command also found out that there was no truth in the write up and considered it as the handy work of faceless mischief makers who are bent on fanning the embers of religious and political hate and disunity in the State with a view to causing the breach of the peace in the state.
‘The Plateau State Police Command therefore warns that, any individual or group of individuals caught circulating documents capable of inciting religious passion or promoting hate speeches will be dealt with in accordance with the extablish laws of the land.
“Members of the general public are therefore advised to ignore such insidious write ups and go about their normal and lawful businesses”.
