INEC Declares Plateau Guber Election Declared Inconclusive, Orders For A Re-run Within 21 Days.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has Declared the Governorship elections conducted in Plateau state on the 9th of March ,2019 inconclusive.

The returning Officer Prof. Richard Anande, says the decision was because margin between APC and PDP was lower than the votes cancelled and a supplementary elections would be conducted in the affected areas Within 21days.

Result shows that APC scored 583, 255 while PDP polled 538, 326. The margin between the two parties was 44, 929 while the cancelled votes was 49, 377.

Others Are: B/LADI ADP=57, APC=17,039, PDP=44, 233, ANN=77, SDP=19 with one polling unit cancelled in B/Ladi, while in BOKKOS, ADP=164, APC=26,219, PDP=25,363 with 5 Polling Units canceled in Bokkos LGA

The
Reports have it that an entire ward in Mangu Local government with
25, 000 registered voters was cancelled as a result of card reader malfunction. According to the collation officer accreditation was done with out the card reader which led to over voting and subsequently led to its cancellation.

The state Returning Officer has excused the Collation officer to go and resolve the issue concerning the results.
