FRESH ATTACK HITS PLATEAU COMMUNITY

Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen Friday night attacks Rakok community of Ropp District, Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State.
Credible information by Dalyop Solomon Mwantiri, Esq, of Emancipation Centre for Crisis Victims in Nigeria.said two children were injured in the process
and have been hospitalized at Barkin Ladi General Hospital.
Unconfirmed information reaching us said the father of the victims narrated that the attackers came around 7:00pm when he was in a neighboring house while his wife was preparing a supper and children were waiting for it, when heavy gunfire rained in the house.
It was gathered that the shootings which lasted for about 5 minutes affected two of the children namely Samson Yusuf Nuhu aged 9 and Angel Yusuf Nuhu aged 7 who are currently on admission at Barkin Ladi General Hospital.
The father of the victim, Mr. Yusuf Nuhu said, “I concluded that all my family has been wiped away but God graciously averted the magnitude of the tragic incident, which has been medically confirmed that the victims will be referred to Jos University Hospital for surgery.
On role played by security outfit on ground and from FOB in Kurra Falls, father of the victims commended the response of personnel of Operation Safe Haven who, though could not quickly swing into action, but visited the scene of the incident after which they rushed the victims to the hospital.
Report says, aside the aforementioned incident, there have been series of continued violent attacks meted out on some Plateau locals in the past two months. For instance,
1. On 18th day of February, 4 locals of Tanjol and Tarai hamlets of Jol community, Riyom LGA were attacked on broad daylight,
2. On 20th day of February, 2019, three locals of Tanjol hamlet in Jol community, Riyom LGA were ambushed;
3. On 28th day of February, 2019, two women were attacked at Tom hamlet of Sopp Community, Riyom LGA;
4. On 7th day of March,2019, two locals were ambushed and one shot dead along Ndind Sesut road, Barkin Ladi LGA excluding other incidences of mischievous grazing and threats of attacks flagrantly perpetrated with no singular regard or respect for humanity.
In view of the persistent attacks believed to have been orchestrated by the enemies of man and God, Security apparatuses are being urged to rise IP to the situation in order to guarantee safety of all persons irrespective of socio-ethnic affiliation. Beside that, locals are also advised to be ceaselessly watchful and immediately report any suspicious movement to security operatives for speedy intervention.
Plateau and Nigeria shall rise again in spite of the odd and upheavals being set I motion to plunge life into a state of delirium.
