Justice Sidi Bage Emerges the New Emir of Lafia.

Nasarawa state Governor, Tanko Almakura has approved the appointment of Justice Sidi Bage as the new Emir of Lafia.

This followed the out come of the selection by kingmakers of the Chiefdom on Tuesday in Lafia, the state Capital.

The position became vacant following the demised of the late Emir, Alhaji Mustapha Agwai (1) on January 10, 2019.

Since the demise of the late Emir, there have been agitations and crisis within the emirate council on who would succeed him.

In the contest justice Sidi Bage was selected after scoring four votes as against his closest rival, the son of the late Emir Musa Mustapha Agwai.

Until his selection as the new Emir of Lafia, Sidi Bage was a Justice of the supreme court of Nigeria.

Similarly, the governor has confirmed the appointment of Alhaji Isa Abubakar Umaru as the new Emir of Awe, Awe Local Government Council of the state.

Isa Abubakar Umaru was selected as Emir of Awe due to the demised of the former Emir some time last year.

The Governor has also confirmed the appointment of Umaru Usman Dodo as the new Osokadoko of Kadarko.

Umaru Usman Dodo was also selected by Kingmakers of the Osokadoko Traditional Council on Tuesday.

The seat of Osokadoko became vacant following the death of the former royal father,Fabian Orogu.

While the seat of Osokadoko of Kadarko is of third Class status, both the emir of Lafia and that of Awe are of first class.
