Plateau Citizens Stand To Gain More During Governor Lalong’s Second Tenure- APC Chieftain

Former House of Representative Aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, APC in Plateau State Hon. David Bitrus Barji has discribed the re-election of Governor Simon Bako Lalong as the governor of Plateau State for another four years as an affirmation of the commitment of Plateau people for a continuous and purposeful leadership.

Hon Barji  Stated this in Jos in an exclusive interview with Journalists, saying Plateau stand to see a more organized form of governance as Lalong  is determined to continue from were he Stopped during his first term.

He said the Governor appreciates the support of the people and that’s he Pledged to embrace and work with everyone who is a citizen for the common good of the state.

The former House of Representative aspirant who Contested the APC  Primary elections to fly the Parties Flag to represent Pankshin, Kanem and Kanke federal Constituency said Lalong is distributing projects evenly across the three senatorial districts and in all the 17 LGAs of the state.

He added that the governor’s actions can be seen with the recent award of road contracts and remobilization of contractors back to site so that work can be completed according to specification and on time.

Hon Barji also dispelled insinuations that Governor Lalong may not extend development to areas he was not voted by Some Section of the State and the governor has continuously said “he is a Governor for all and will stop at nothing but developing the entire state irrespective of perceived differences”.

He further said the ongoing remodeling of schools under the Lalong Legacy Project on education which has seen complete transformation of public Primary and Secondary Schools spread across the three senatorial districts goes along way to show that Governor Lalong has the entire plateau at heart and is committed to the turn around of the education sector.

He added that it is not enough to remodel schools without the requisite manpower that is why the government has embarked on massive recruitment of teachers and also retraining the ones on the ground preparatory for the task ahead.

On the Lalong Legacy Project Hon Barji said governor Lalong has also extended his legacy to the health sector as already the Plateau Specialist hospital is receiving great attention even as the Governor is paying attention to general hospitals across the state and the planned construction and equipping of additional hospitals across the three Senatorial districts that will reduce the burden of rural urban migration for health reasons.

He called on the people to give the Governor the maximum support so as to deliver on his mandate in the second term.
