Senator (General) Jeremiah T Useni has assured widows that he is fully committed to their welfare.
He spoke in Jos on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, when about 200 widows from across Plateau State visited him.

Sen (Gen) Jeremiah T Useni, CFR, mni Yiljap Abraham in a press statement quoted Useni promising to do all that he can to alleviate their pain, knowing that they bear more family burdens in the absence of their spouses.
“Widows have a special place in my heart, being a widower myself. When our petitions at the tribunals succeed, the government that we will form will give top priority to improving the quality of life of widows generally.”
The event featured prayers by the widows and presentation of various gifts to them.
