D.T. Sango Leads Plateau Delegates On A Mega Rally To Yanagoa.By Moses Gbande
Ahead of the Bayelsa State Governorship Election slated the hold November 2019, the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, in Plateau State, Hon. Damishi T. Sango has received notification to mobilize over 200 party faithful for a mega rally in Yanagoa on 6th November in support of the PDP candidates there.
Damishi disclosed this Wednesday while addressing stakeholders of the party on the far reaching decisions reached on the outcome of the recent wrangling within the party.
Sang disclosed that he has received Communication from the Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency, Balla Mohammed urging him to mobilize party party men and women who are faithful and make other logistics to storm Bayelsa to canvass for the support of PDP Candidates.
He said the purpose of calling for the stakeholders meeting was to brief them of the recent activities of the party, saying he has remained admirably purposeful, determined, and unwavering for the progress of the party.
On allegations leveled against him, that he had single handedly syphoned campaign funds given to the state party during the 2019 electioneering campaign, he described them as “Frivolous”.
Adding that, those making such allegations are better sponsored to destroy the PDP, saying any monies channeled to the party was meant for the part men and women including his rival group leader, Dakan Sahan, and that the monies were judiciously dispensed for the purposes it were meant for.
‘’ On the issue of crises in the party in the recent past, I am bold to inform you that after the general elections, we realized that there were betrayals, and when a committee of Nine was set up to investigate the issues raised, they noticed that they were going to be exposed, and have started making moves to frustrate the efforts.
“All I know is that my name has been dragged to the mud, but let me tell you, right from my students union leadership, to when I became Minister I have never been found wanting.
“They raised Frivolous allegations that money me, we work as a team not individual, and Dakan Sahan was also on the team.
“let me tell you I am part of you, I confirm to you that no body has cheated on you.
“The National Secretariat has invited us, when we got to Abuja, the Dakan Shan Ground said they were no longer interested in the issue of the money but just for him to resign and go, but we said No, since the Committee has submitted its reports let the outcome be made public, so that if at the end of the day, my name is soiled, let it go head wire and another is involved let it go viral”
He said, he has remained the authentic chairman of the PDP in the state, pointing the fact that all correspondences to the state regarding party activities, were being addressed to him, as such urged the party faithful to disregard the antics of Dakan Shan led group.
