Christians in Nasarawa state on Sunday came out in their numbers to condemn and protest the killings in North East and other parts of the Country by Boko Haram, Bandits and Herdsmen.
The peaceful protest was in compliance with the directive of the National President of Christian Association of Nigeria ( CAN), following the recent abduction and killing of the Chairman CAN Michika Local Government Council of Adamawa State, Reverend Lawan Andimi as well as many other innocent persons brutally murdered by Boko Haram, Bandits and Fulani Herdsmen.
The Christians who Assembled at the ERCC Central in Lafia before embarking on the protest, offered series of prayers for God intervention in the security problem of the Country.
Speaking at the gathering, Nasarawa State Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Joseph Masin who condemned the too many killings in the Country, described the recent murder of Reverend Andimi as barbaric and ungodly.
Bishop Masin who called on the leadership of the Country to do all they could to stop Boko Haram, bandits and evil activities of Fulani herdsmen, charged security agencies to be more proactive in the fight against these criminal elements and set the country free from unnecessary killings.
