GOVERNOR ISHAKU FINALLY ARRIVED JALINGO

The protracted feud between several groups and Political parties in Taraba State over governor Darius Dickson Ishaku’s absence has been laid to rest.

Thid follows final return of he governor who stormed Jalingo, the state capital on Thursday after spending 87 days outside the state.

Addressing the crowd shortly on arrival at the Danbabs Suntai Airport, the governor cleared the air on the circumstances surrounding his long absence from the state.

It could be recalled that his absence from the state had stirred a lot of controversies with some stakeholders calling on him to transmit powers to his deputy.

“I had a domestic accident due to power outage in my house and slipped off the staircase”

” This forcing me to travel out of the country for medical treatment and the subsequent stay in Abuja for recuperation. – he said.”

According to him, his absence from the state did not violate any Constitutional bridge or affect any governance and development, adding that all developmental projects in the state are ongoing as planned.

He commended the people for supporting him during the period, adding that their prayers has facilitated his recovery.

He assured Tarabans that he will continue to deploy all the resources at his disposal to bring development despite the global tough times.

The governor commended his Deputy, Alhaji Haruna Manu, Commissioners and members of the state House of Assembly for the support they gave him while he was absence from the state.

” I urged the opposition to support this administration regardless of religion, tribe or Political Party difference in order to achieve the desire development in the state”.

He disclosed that Dualization project and rural road projects in different parts of the state and all other projects are progressing even at his absence from the state, which according to him, shows that the government is doing well.

On the Corona virus ( COVID 19) epidemic, he said he has meet with the Minister of Health on the matter.

” We are not praying for the virus in the state, but Isolation Center have been prepared at Mararba Apawa, Lau local government Incas if it happens” – he said.
