
Nasarawa state government has said that it realised over N76m as donations from individuals, corporate bodies and organizations as part of efforts to cushion covid19 in the state. Governor Abdullahi sule who stated this during a press briefing at government house Lafia also said the money realized would be judiciously used for the purpose in which it was given.
The Governor while commending the people of the state for their patient, tolerance and understanding also urged them to maintain the spirit so that together they curb the menace in the state.
He further stated that there is no reported cases of covid19 in the state, but urged the people to continue to maintain sanitary in their areas in order to avoid the spread of the pandemic.
Engineer Abdullahi sule who commended covid19 committee members led by the state deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe for a job weldone also urged them to maintain the tempo.
The used the occasion to announce the extension of government’s order in karu & other local government in the state also called on the security agents to ensure strict compliance as Mobile courts would be established to deal decisively with the defaulters.
