Senator representing Nasarawa south at the National Assembly, Umaru Tanko Al makura has distributed three thousand bags of Rice to the people of his constituency as part of efforts to cushion the hardship faced by the people as a result of corona virus pandemic in the country.
Speaking shortly after the distribution, the senator said the commodities is for people of 53 electoral wards in five local government Areas of his constituency with each ward had 50 bags while calling on them to be law abiding, the senator also urged them to remain calm and observe social distancing as well as avoiding overcrowding and other vices that can lead to the spread of the virus in the state.
He used the forum to called on wealthy individuals, groups and corporate bodies to assist the needy most especially now that Ramadan fast is around the corner.senator Al makura also used the occasion to commend Governor Abdullahi sule for the proactive measures he took in curtailing the spread of corona virus in the state He urged the people of the state to join hands with the state government under Engineer Abdullahi sule to enable him succeed on the tasks ahead The Rice were received by the representatives of all the 53 electoral wards in the constituency in the senatorial zone.
