Governor Sule Directs Isolation of Kano,Lagos/Other retunees, Announces Plans To Tuild 2000 Houses Across Local Governments

Nasarawa state Governor, Engineer Abdullahi sule has directed the isolation of all returnees to the state to enable the state identify those with the deadly corona virus.

Already, no fewer than 15 vehicles conveying returnees from kano,Lagos and other parts of the country were arrested at the entrance of Lafia, the state capital and were taken to Dr. Isa Mustapha Agwai1 polytechnic Lafia for isolation.

It was also gathered that the occupants of the vehicles were seen undergoing some cross examination by the health personnel from the state ministry of health.

Director public health of the ministry. Dr Ibrahim Adamu who was sighted at the polytechnic student’s hotel declined comment when approached by journalists.

But a source closer to the ministry hinted that they can be released as soon as they are found negative. In another development, Nasarawa state government would build about 2000 houses in order to tackle accommodation problems faced by the people of the state. Commissioner for land, survey and urban Development, professor Salihu Ali Zaga who stated this in a meeting with local government chairmen of the state also said each local government would have at least 150 houses in order to ease accommodation problems.

Professor Ali Zaga who was in the meeting with his counterpart from the state ministry of works and Transport, chief Philip Dada also called for support of the local governments in the state to enable them succeed on the task ahead.

Also speaking, chairman Lafia local government council, Alhaji Aminu Muazu Maifata who commended the state government for the initiatives pledged the support of local government councils in the state to enable them succeed on the project.
