Covid19: Nasarawa police arrests defaulters of the ban of commercial motorcycles.

The Nasarawa state police command has arrested hundreds of those who violated the government’s order placed on commercial motorcycle operators in the state.

The state commissioner for Information, culture and Tourism, comrade DOGO SHAMMAH who went round most of the roads Friday expressed satisfaction with the level of compliance also said the state government under, Engineer Abdullahi sule would do everything possible to ensure that covid19 pandemic did not reach the state.

Comrade DOGO SHAMMAH further stated that government would not fold its hands to allow the breakdown of law and order in the state and to make sure that those who broke the law are punished according to the law of the land.

The roads visited by the commissioner in accompanied of a group of journalists include stadium junction, Bukan sidi, millionaires quarters ,B division police station, Tudun Gwandara Area court, Makurdi road, jos road, Lafia central motor park among others,

He tasked the people in all areas visited on the need to support government’s policies and programmes which according to him, are geared towards improving the well being of the people of the state most especially on the current fight against corona virus. He appealed to the people to be calm, and law abiding at this trying period.
