No fewer than 42 persons were on Saturday arrested and prosecuted by mobile courts for violating the environmental sanitation exercise in the state.
Commissioner for environment in the state, Hon. Musa Ibrahim who disclosed this to journalists shortly after the exercise also said the state government under, Engineer Abdullahi sule would continue to observe monthly environmental sanitation in order to curb the spread of corona virus and other deadly which occurs due to dirty environment.
While encouraging the people of the state to always keep their environment clean ,the commissioner used the occasion to called on the people of the state to maintain social distancing, avoid overcrowding and other acts capable of causing covid19 outbreak in the state. He noted that the state had no recorded any case of corona virus, pointing out that, “this is as a result of the tireless efforts of Governor Abdullahi sule in the fight against the pandemic.”,
