Less than eight hours ago, Taraba state has recorded another Two cases of COVID 19, bringing to the total of Eight cases recorded in the state.
A press statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan Abu reads:
Taraba State Governor, His Excellency, Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku wishes to announce the confirmation of two more cases of Coronavirus infection in the state.
The two are the latest confirmed by the National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC to have tested positive after a laboratory investigation.They are from among the people already being quarantined at the NYSC Orientation Camp, near Jalingo.
It recalled that Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku in the afternoon confirmed Six cases in a state wide broadcast to the people of the state.
Knowing very well that Lagos tops with 731 cases recorded so far since the outbreak of this global pandemic,
Nigeria has confirmed one case each from 8 states , the second state with the highest number of infected people is Abuja with the total of 141 confirmed cases .
The third on the list is Kano with a total number of 77 confirmed cases, Kano has the fastest growing number of infected people,
The fourth on the list is ogun state with the of 35 confirmed cases by the NCDC
Followed by Gombe with a total number of 35 confirmed cases and many more states with infected cases as follows, Lagos 737, Abuja FCT 141, Kano 77, Ogun 35, Gombe 35, Osun 34, Katsina 30, Borno 30, Edo 35, Oyo 21, Akwa Ibom 12, Kaduna 15, Bauchi 14, Sokoto 10, Kwara 11, Ekiti 8, Ondo 8, Delta 8, Rivers 6, Taraba 6 + 2 recently, now 8, Abia 2, Enugu 2, Niger 2, Jigawa 2, Zamfara 2, Venue 1, Anambra 1, Adamawa 1, Plateau 1, Imo 1, Bayelsa 1, Ebonyi 1, and Kebbi 1.
Total number of infected cases 1273 active cases 994
Total discharged 239 while 40 deaths.
