A New Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command, Jos, CP EDWARD CHUKA EGBUKA has assumed duty as the Commissioner of Police,
Before he took over as the Commissioner of Police Plateau State Command, he was the Commissioner of Police Operations at the Force Headquarters Abuja.
The Imo State born Commissioner of Police was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on 15th March, 1988 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and was trained at the Police Academy Annex Kaduna State.
He is a graduate of History and International Relations from the University of Calabar, and also has a Law degree from the River State University of Science and Technology.
He has attended several courses in Nigeria and overseas and has held several positions in the Nigeria Police Force which includes Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Operations in Osun State Command, Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Zone 7 Headquarters Abuja, Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Operations Kogi State Command.
He was Area Commander at Ogba Area Command Lagos, Idimu Area Command Lagos, Umuahia Area Command Abia State and Lantang Area Command Plateau State.
He was Assistant Force Secretary at the Force Headquarters Abuja and Divisional Police Officer in several Divisions. From 1994 -1995, he was at
the United Nations as a Civil Police Observer in Rwanda, East Africa. He is a member of International Association of Chiefs of Police.
His hobbies include long distance walking, reading, watching and playing football and listening to good music.
He a devoted Christian and is married to his wife, Eziokwu and blessed with four children.
