Senator representing Nasarawa south senatorial district at the National Assembly, Umaru Tanko Al makura has disbursed the sum of two million naira (N2m) to 2000 beneficiaries in his zone as micro zone.
Senator Al_ makura who commenced the disbursement Wednesday at Lafia East,Taal school Bikan sidi, Dunama primary school, Lafia, and St Williams primary school, Lafia. was the first of it kind ever to the people by a senator representing the zone.
Speaking to our correspondent shortly after collecting his sum of N10,000,a beneficiary, Abdullahi Usman who hails from Lafia local government Area commended the senator for the loan,saying “this loan of N10,000 from senator Umaru Tanko Al makura will go along way in improving our well_beings most especially at this crucial time of fighting corona virus pandemic.”.
Usman used the opportunity to call on well meaning individuals to emulate the good gesture of senator Umaru Tanko Al makura whom he described as a God fearing person.”
On his part, one of the beneficiaries, Hajiya Halima Abdul who hails from Keana local government, while thanking senator Al-Makura for the gesture, also pledged her unalloyed support to the senator at all times in ensuring his bid of returning to the red chamber for the second time,.
“To whom much is given much is expected, we shall ensure that former Governor now,a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria returns to the Senate for the second time to continue with his good work”.
