A Coalition of PDP Youths in Plateau says it has uncovered that the letter purpoted to have extended the tenure of all outgoing state exco members of the party in the state is fake and lacking required authority.

The state Chairman of the group Hon John Gada said in Jos, plateau state capital after a meeting of the group at the popular Lar Amusement Park Saturday 9th,may 2020.

Gada said the letter is fake and advice all the outgoing exco to honourable pack out of the state party Secretariat latest by midnight of Sunday 11:59pm,10th,may 2020.

“As far as we are concern there tenure elapse tomorrow and they will seize to exist as state Exco members, and once the National headquarters didn’t act then, the staff of the Secretariat will hold the office pending further constitutional directives.

“No sane person should ever believe such fictitious letter.

“They all bought forms to contest in the upcoming party congress across the state, they can never be judges in their own case.

“Any letter containing such directives must be sign by either the National Chairman or National Secretary of the party according to our party Constitution.

“We have contacted almost 70% of our National Officers who have denied knowledge of such letter, our party is yet to convey NWC meeting nor NEC meeting for rectification of such moves.

“Besides, nobody wishing our party success in the future will convert aspirants to an election into caretaker committee.

The smartness demonstrated will surely meet heavy resistance by our party supporters. We are prepared to defend our party Constitution against persons planning to expose the party because of selfish ambition.

“Plateau as well as other states natiowide are struggling to combat the dreaded killer Corona virus that has threatened our existence,we call on our party to show passion in this fight.

“We intend to fumigate the party Secretariat as soon as possible”. Gada added .
