Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has said that the one term ranting by some people that he would do only one tenure in the state due to his poor performance during his first year in office.
The Governor who stated this during a media chat with journalists as part of activities marking his one year in office also said he gives his thanks to Allah for the opportunity given to him to serve the state.
He commended journalists for all the support given to his Administration throughout his one year in office. On the percentage salaries received by local government staff and pensioners , Governor Sule said ”
“I will not interfere with with the local government funds, as I can’t direct them on what to do.” Governor Abdullahi sule further explained that the federal government has approved the construction of Farin water which would generate electricity to the state and beyond.
He said the state government would collaborate with the federal government to ensure the success of the project.
Engineer Sule further stated that the 2020 state budget would be reviewed in order to tackle the issue of corona virus as according to him,”State government relies 90% of its revenue from the federation account. Pointing out that covid19 pandemic would be more on economic than health as the economy suffers most. He encouraged the people of Nasarawa state not to be panic with 62 index case of corona virus.
The Governor called on the people of the state to continue to support his Administration to enable him succeed on the tasks ahead.
