The embattled caretaker committee chairman of Peoples Democratic party (PDP) Hon. Francis Orogu has said that despite the court ruling by Justice Mustapha Ramat of Akwanga high court removing and members of his caretaker committee from office says “Am still the chairman of PDP in the state.
Hon. Orogu who stated this in a press conference in Lafia Friday also said Justice Mustapha Ramat was in a hurry to pass judgment on what was not demanded for.
He said the party would respect judiciary and all its judgements irrespective of where the pendulum swings, but we are concerned about individual behaviours, we also hope that those whose responsibility is to protect the sanctity and respect of the judiciary should be focused”
.Hon Orogu further stated that the party in the state under his leadership would not deterred by the judgement of justice Mustapha Ramat as they viewed it as an attempt to disorganise the party in the state He said the party would not only challenge justice Mustapha Ramat legally, but also politically resist any attempt to distract their attention on the right trajectory
The embattled PDP caretaker committee chairman called on their party supporters at all levels to remain focused and see the transiting period as a time of total commitment to strengthening PDP in the state rather than power grabbing by few individuals It will be recalled that the PDP in the state engage in internal wrangling which led to the suspension of top party officials such as Hon. Musa Abdullahi Elayo, Senator Solomon Ewuga and Hon.Muhammad Ogoshi Onawo for what Orogu described as anti-party activities.
