DSS ARRESTS NSHGFP FRAUDSTERS IN JALINGO, ARREAINS THEM FOR FORGGRY, CHEATING AND IMPERSONATION.

Operatives of the Department of State Security Service, DSS have arrested a group of fraudsters whom have specialise on printing and issuing fake appointment letters to women under the National School Home Grown Feeding Program, NSHGFP in Taraba state.

The acuse persons, Zakaria Ishaku, 38 years old a civil servant and Madam Gambo Tanimu Daniel were arrained at a Magistrate Court on charges of Forgery, Cheating and impersonation contrary to sections 45, 324 and 364 of the penal code.

Zakaria Ishaku on 31st March this year, claimed to be a Staff of National School Grown Feeding Program, NSHGFP in the state, where he collected an original copy of Application form and Appointment letter and reproduce Six hundred copies.

He also forged signatures of the state Focal Person, State Secretary and that of the state Program officer.

He engaged Madam Gambo Tanimu Daniel to sale the forms for between N30,000 to N80,000 respectively.

The Court also arrained on Terms Anzabe of Mayo Dassa, Jalingo for forging a letter head paper of Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment, claiming to be a Director of the Ministry in the state contrary to section 45 of the penal code.

They all pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Presiding Judge Jonathan Agbo granted the accused persons to the sum of N1 million each and a shorty who must be a civil servant of level 14 and above and adjourned to 25th June 2020 for hearing.

Commenting, the State Sectary of the Program, Idris Goje warned the public to be careful of frusters who go out with fake appointment letters collecting monies from them in the name of providing them with jobs.

He call on members of the public not to give any money to anyone, adding that the program is free.

According to him, the fraudsters issue letters without payment, while genuine applicant are paid directly from the headquarters in Abuja.
