Apparently disturbed by rampant proliferation of illegal motor parks in Jos and Bukuru metropolist, Chairmen of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, in the state, ALH. YUSHA’U MUHAMMAD has expressed concern over the situation.
The Chairman who disclosed this during an interactive session with Newsmen in Jos discribed the situation as dangerous to the security problem in the city, urging the state government to intensify efforts at curtailing the menace of such illegal motor parks in the state.
He equally called on the State goverment to ensure the construction of a modern motor parks to get rid of such illegal motor parks.
He commended the state government under the administration of governor Simon Bako lalong for the restoration of peace in the state.
The chairman expressed satisfaction with the number of projects initiated by the state government in all the three senatorial zones of the state.
According to him, the state governor has provided the members of the Union in the state with motivation through empowerment of drivers in all the 17 local government areas.
He therefore solicited for cooperation from all members of the Union in the state especially in the local government areas to support the state government in all its programs.
The chairman called on the members of the Union in the state to support the next governor of the state under APC goverment.
