No fever than 778 women and children from the 17 states of the federation were rescued from terrorists (Darasalam) by the Army special forces Doma, in Toto local government Area of Nasarawa State and are currently living amidst tight security at the Isa Mustapha Agwai polytechnicien lafia.
Out of the number,Niger state has the highest number of 86 women and 232children , followed by Kano State with 20 women and 64children ,FCT 15 women and 42 children,while Yobe state has the least number of only one woman.
Our correspondent gathered that the victims who cut across 17 States of the federation which include Gombe, Bauchi,Kaduna,Sokoto,Zamfara,kebbi,among others. Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State who was represented by his deputy Dr,Emmanuel Akabe also commended president Muhammad’s Bihari for his untiring efforts in ensuring the protection of lives and property of the people of Nigeria. The Governor used the occasion to call on the people of the state to report suspecious persons in their communities to the law enforcement agents for appropriate action. S
Meanwhile,some states that we’re affected sent kaduna, Zamfara,and Bauchivehicles to convey the victims back to their various stetes to start a normal life The states include Niger,Kano,kaduna, Zamfara,and Bauchi States. At the time of filing in this report,a woman who was among those kidnapped and rescued by the Army special forces Doma was in labour at the primary health Care center (PHCC)kwandare,lafia local government Area of the state.
