Nasarawa local government Commences forensic Audit Of Ghost workers:

Nasarawa State commissioner for local government and chieftaincy Affairs, comrade Yusuf Aliyu Turaki has said that his ministry in collaboration with local government council’s in the state would embark on forensic Audits to ascertain the number of Staff un the payrolls of local government councils in the state. Comrade Turaki who disclosed this in a chat with journalists in his office on Wednesday also said Governor Abdullahi Sule is seriously Disturbed with the increase in the number of Staff un the local government payrolls despite the retirements and death’s of Staff of local government Staff.. Thé commissioner who expressed over the huge wage bills of local government Staff attributed the situation to neglects on the part of previous Administrations at the local government councils who refused to authenticate the number of Staff at the local government payrolls. Comrade Turaki further explained that since he assumed office as commissioner about a year ago, the local government council’s in the state have been battling with with the payments of salariés where the state government had to augment before the payments could be done. He therefore appealed to the local government chairmen,NULGE officials as well as local government Staff to report any ghost worker found in the payrolls to the appropriate authority for necessary action.”IAM appealing to them to expose the ghost workers to enable us ascertain the actual number of Staff in the payrolls of local government councils in the state.
