Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state,has ordered the immediate evacuation of victims of flood disaster in Nasarawa local government Area of the state,
According to a statement signed by the Chief press secretary to the governor on Media and publicity Malam Ibrahim Inuwa Addra said the governor who immediately visited the area directed that after evacuating them to the safer side they should also be provided with food items, mattresses and other items that would help them in their new places.
The statement further stated that the governor warned the people of the area against building along water ways.
He commended the chairman of Nasarawa local government and the Emir of Nasarawa, Alhaji Ibrahim Jibrin for their efforts in tackling flood disaster in the Area.
It would be recalled that there was flood disaster two weeks ago in Nasarawa local government where many houses were submerged and property worth millions of naira were destroyed.
