A legal practitioner, and public affairs analyst, Barr. Chaka’am Dalan (Esq) has expressed dissatisfaction with the poor infrastructural development recorded by the administration of Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state and that of president Muhammadu Buhari in the last five years of governance .
The legal practitioner who disclosed this in an interactive session with Journalists on his political ambition to run for the 2023 governorship race in plateau state, says what informed his decision to vying for the position of governorship is to fix some areas that needed urgent attention like education, health care delivery, road network amongst others.
According to him ,governor Lalong as a lawyer and his Senior colleague may have done his best but has equally have shortcomings in addressing infrastructural development within the state.
He explained that Plateau state used to be placed high both at primary ,Secondary and tertiary institutions, but the education sector in plateau state now is rated low, emphasising, that many states like Ogun state now have more than 10 higher institutions of learning .
Barr Dalan added that , the failure of leadership has placed the state below this standard saying , “if given the mandate in 2023 will place high Premium in fixing the infrastructural development and adequately harness the solid mineral deposits that ate found in the state .
He also promised that, if elected he would improve the agricultural sector because Plateau communities as are agriarian state required a leader that has the love of the State to transform it to an enviable hights .
He assured that citizens of the state of timely intervention in providing fertilizers and other incentives to Farmers so as to boost agricultural sector in the state
Barr Dalan also commended the federal government policy on agriculture but described it as a “policy Summersault” owing to the poor implementation of such policies, saying it is not well impressive ,and therefore , called on the next coming President to improve on the policy on agriculture so as to boost food security in the country.
Speaking on the zoning system ,Barr C.B.N Dalan ,condemned the ideas of zoning arrangement which he said it is not ultimate, Stressing that under such arrangements state can’t produce quality representation .
He stated that even though he is from the southern zone with the incumbent governor Simon Lalong ,he feels that ,that gentleman agreement should be shelved so that he can be given his constitutional right to serve the state effectively .
Adding, zoning should not be served as a barrier to deprive other credible candidates from their desires to contribute meaningful to good governance in their states.
