The Old Students Association of the Command Secondary School Jos, COJOSA, on Wednesday presented Personal Protection Equipment to its former Alma-marta to assist the school authority in the fight against the spread of Corona virus among the students and their teachers.
The donation came as a result of the dreaded corona-virus pandemic which has caused great concern to the school since its outbreak.
Gabriel BigwanThe consignment which are about 1, 600 packs comprisis of face sheels, face masks and hands sanitizers, the leader of the Association Gabriel Bigwan said the equipment are meant to be distributed to all the students and their teachers.
Mr. Gabriel Bigwan who is the Secretary general of the Association, told the management that the Personal Protection Equipment, PPE is their token contribution to compliment the efforts of government and the management in the fight against Corona virus pandemic. He urged the management to make best use of the equipments, promising that the officials of the Association will come back when school finally resumes to see if the equipments are judiciously used for the purpose it is meant for. He said the symbolic presentation which concides with the “Founder’s Day,” 29th September, was the date the institution was established, back in 1977. He assures the school authority that they will ever remiain grateful to the school for making them what they are in life today. He pomised that COJOSA will not relent in its oars in contributing meaningfully in assisting the school to attend it’s greatness. Responding, Vice Principal Administration, Mr. Sado Musa Yakubu commended the officials of the Association for the intervention and promised that the equipments will be evenly distributed to the students and the teachers. Also speaking, the Acting Director, 3rd Amoured Division, Education Services, Col. John Medugu commended the Association for the loudable gift presentated to the command, saying it will go a long way in assisting the school management in the protection of lives. He said the school will ever remained grateful for the Association’s enermous
contribution to the development of the institution, Meanwhile, he listed some of the interventions made by the Association to the school in recent past to include; the provision of solar panel, borehole and the renovation of home economic blocks, an the provision of laptops to the students and the school among others. He prayed on God to continue to guide and protect them in thur endeavors and called on the students of the collage to
face their studies with all sence of enthusiasm to enable them excel in life.
