Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has pledged to append his signature on the law that would pass through state house of Assembly which can warrant death sentence on kidnappers and rapers in the state. The Governor who disclosed this during a one day sensitisation on dangers of rapping and kidnappings in the state on Wednesday also called for synergy between security agents, traditional rulers as well as members of the public on the need to report these ungodly acts to the security agents in the state for appropriate action. Governor Abdullahi Sule who was visibly angry with the activities of kidnappers and rapists in the state also appealed to parents to properly take care of their children against rapists and kidnappers in the state. While commending the security agents in the state for their ups and doings, the governor appealed to them to redouble their efforts in tackling the menace. Also Speaking, state commissioner of police, Emmanuel Bola Longer commended the state police command for living up to their responsibilites and urged members of the public to join hands with the police in other to send kidnappers, rapists and other criminals out of the state. Longe further commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for the support he has been given to the police in the state in order to to criminals and criminalities in the state. On his part, Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad1 who explained the roles of traditional rulers in curbing insecurity in the country also called for more support to traditional rulers to enable them do more in the area of security in the country. The royal father appealed for parents to take proper care of their children and wards against rape, kidnappings and crimes in the society. He said the royal fathers would not relent in ensuring that criminals and criminalities are tackled headlong in the state. Speaking earlier,guest speaker at the occasion,Dr.Nawani Aboki called for collaborative efforts between security agents and members of the public in order to ensure that criminals have no hiding places in the state. Dr Aboki further explained that no tribe should be blamed on kidnappings as according to him,”every tribe in the state are involves in kidnapping and rape. He called for support and cooperation of Al asundry in order to succeed on the tasks ahead Earlier,convener of the programe and state commissioner for Information, culture and Tourism, Comrade Dogo Danladi Shammah commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for his fight against kidnappings,rapes and other crimes in the state. Shammah further explained that his ministry would continue to sensitize people on the dangers of kidnappings,rapes and other criminals offences. On his part, state Attorney General and commissioner for justice. Barrister Abdulkareem kana lamented the cases of kidnappings rapes and other offences in the state and blamed the religious leaders for not living up to the expectations.
