Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has assured citizens of his Administration’s commitment in tackling disaster related issues in the state.
The Governor who disclosed this Thursday during a 2-day stakeholders workshop in effective emergency preparedness and response in Nasarawa state also said the workshop which is timely would assist positively in controlling disaster related issues in the state.Representedby his deputy.Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, the Governmor further stated that the state is facing problem of disaster through through mining activities also called on the federal government to assist the state in that direction. The Governmor also stated that the workshop is an avenue for stakeholders to prepare for any issue related to disaster management also commended the federal ministry of interior and disaster management for their contribution’s to the development of the state. Speaking earlier, Executive secretary, Nasarawa state emergency Management Agency+NASEMA) Barrister Zakari Zamani Allumaga while commending Governor Abdullahi Sule for approving the workshop which he said would go along way in tackling disaster in the state.Allumaga appealed to the stakeholders to use the knowledge acquired at the workshop in their day to day activities.
