Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has presented a budget of N112, 923,174,543.to the state house of Assembly as 2021 appropriation bill.
Speaking at the presentation of the budget to the Assembly on Tuesday,Governor Sule said the budget has #4,478,368,030 increase against last year’s budget. The Governor further explained that the recurrent expenditure#51,50 ,456,878 representing 45 percent, while capital expenditure stands at#54,854,985,695 representing 48 percent of the total budget.with consolidated revenue at #7,17,732,031 representing 6.2 percent of the total budget. Engineer Sule also stated that the 2021 budget which is tagged budget of” economic recovery,”gave the sources of funding the budget to include special allocations, Federal allocations,grants,Value Added Tax(V A T) among others. He said education has a lionl share of over#39billion legislations#2 billions, Justice#2billions, finance#5 billions, health#11 billions, Agriculture#5.6billions, environment#10 billions among others. The governor used the opportunity to announce that the completion of karu bus terminal will gulp #1 billion, Lafia terminal bus stop #700million while the new state Secretariat will gulp #1 billion. The Governor who commended the good working relationship between legislature and executive also urged them to maintain the tempo in the best interest of the people of the state.,
