MY HANDS ARE OPEN TO ALL AGRIVED MEMBERS WHOM WISHES TO COME BACK – Yohanna

The Bishop of Nigeria Episcopal Area of the United Methodist Church in Nigeria, Bishop Johnwesly Yohanna has called on all Agrived members who left the church to come back for the growth of the church.

He made the call at the 39th sessions of the Southern Nigerian Annual Conference at UMCN MacBride Jalingo.

” I have always maintained this stance that my hands are widely open to receive and work with our Agrived brethren who broke away from Southern Nigerian Annual Conference”.

He disclose that he have offered more than three invitations to the Agrived members, but that all invitations were not welcome by the members.

“As the Bishop of the United Methodist Church in Nigeria, I am using this platform to call on the Agrived members to come and join hands with us to move the Church forward. They will always be welcome by me”.

He condemn all forms of brutality by police and military.

He disclose that COVID 19 pandemic has led to unprecedented disruptions, affecting all markets and Economic Globally.

“Things will not be the same again, at least for quite a while. Nigeria faces a greater challenge of most from COVID 19 pandemic, as a result of being the largest economy in Africa with a population of over Two hundred million people”

In his message, Rev. Daniel Dangombe tittle his message “God will fight for us” took his text from the book of Exodus 14 : 15 – 17, encourage the congregation to believe and respect God, for he will fight for us.

He disclose that God want us to serve him only rather than other gods.

The theme for the 2020 conference is: “Know that I am God, plsams 46: 1 – 11.

The occasion featured songs of ministration from various groups.

A minute silence was observed in honor of the departed members of the church.
