Disturbed by the scourge of COVID 19 pandemic ravaging the World, the Taraba State House Of Assembly has concluded plans to establish E – Parliament.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Joseph Albasu Kunini stated this while interacting with newsmen in jalingo.
“The House was set to be transformed into an E – Parliament where Members can participate in the proceedings of the house even from remote locations.
He said that in the past One Year as Speaker of the house, one of his achievement was ensure stability and United house as one body that works in collaboration with the Executive arm closely, in providing divident of democracy to Tarabans.
He congratulate his Colleagues as the house marks one year in office as principal officers, adding that when he assumed office, his immediate priority was to bring all Members together.
“Today we have a house that is more stable and United than the past times in the history of our of our state.
“I will like to draw from lessons we learn from the COVID 19 pandemic and make the house e – parliament where members will be able to participate in the proceedings of the house even from their remote locations.
He promised to introduce more innovative ideas that will be benefiting to Members towards towards providing best representation to the people irrespective of their locations.
He used the forum to appreciated Journalists working in the state for living up to standards that define the noble profession.
“With sounding your trumpets, I must say that the state has enjoyed your high level of professionalism in the discharge of your duties and your constructive criticism has helped Government and the House to be better, and look forward to a more rubost relationship with the media in days ahead.
