Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku has urged Christian youths in the State to be law abiding citizens in the State.
Speaking at the end of year revival/harvest and thanksgiving of the Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria (CRC-N), LCC Sabon Gari, Jalingo, Taraba State, on Sunday, 13th December, 2020, the Speaker advised Christian youths to eschew all forms of violence under whatever guise.
The Governor, represented by the Speaker Rt. Hon. Joseph Albasu Kunini as Special Guest of Honour and doubled as the Chief Harvester at the occasion, stated that he would not thank God enough for His goodness in his life. What God has done for me is great.
“We are here in this church because we want to thank God for His goodness and mercies upon us from January to December.
,”I am here with two caps, even though I have only one head. His Excellency has sent his felicitation. He would love to be here but has to travel to Abuja for meeting of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum in Abuja.
“However, he has sent his donation of N500,000.00. I support the Chairman of the occasion with N100,000.00 because I was touched by his statement.
“On my part, I donate N300,000.00 to the church and N100,000.00 to KYC,” he said.
“We as representatives at the state house of Assembly, we would not enact any law that would oppress or suppress the people in the state.
The guest speaker at the occasion, Evangelist (Col) Agbu Atenwunu KEFAS (rtd), who is also the State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has urged Christians to connect to the God of Jacob whatever the situation.
“If you connect to the God of Jacob He will never fail you. If you connect to the God of Jacob before the end of this year, your story will change next year,” he added.
