Following the dissolution of all executives, from National to Ward levels, the Taraba State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has innaugurated its State and Local Governments executives.
The State Caretaker Chairman, Barr. Tukur Ibrahim El Sudi while innaugurating the Executives said that they are to oversee the affairs of the party pending the election of substantive executives.
“You have been innaugurated today as executives of your local governments, you will in turn innaugurate the wards executives.
“I urge you to tolerate one another so as to attract more people to the party.
The occasion featured the innauguration of Fifteen out of the Sixteen LGAs Chairmen.
Chairman of Ussa Local Government of the party was not innaugurated, which according to the State Caretaker Chairman of the party that he has a pending allegations.
“There were allegations against the party caretaker chairman of Ussa Local Government. The party set up committee and summon him to appear before it, but he refused.
“The party would not accept any act of disobidence. Since he refused to defend himself and tender documents, he will not be innaugurated, untill all allegations are cleared.
He said ” This event was really democracy in action and I must commend the Caretaker National Working Committee, for this feat .
” It was a good development that, the former members were allowed to transit and work for the next six months.
” I strongly believe that, the members of these committees will live above board .”
He expressed optimism that, with the planned validation of APC membership and the registration of new members, the party will grow stronger.
According to him, resultantly, APC will record its third successive transitions at both the Federal and state levels .
The State Caretaker Chairman promised to live above board in the discharge of their assignment.
He lauded the NWC for reposing tremendous confidence in them and vowed never to fail them.
Chairman of the State Caretaker Committee also said the whole structure of the party was dissolved in the country following the resolution of the National Executive Committee (NEC) , in Abuja.
He explained that the development necessitated the formation of caretaker committees to steer the affairs of the party pending the election of new executives.
He expressed optimism that the party would work together to ensure that the APC would continue to grow stronger across the country, and take over power in Taraba state.
On the recurring security challenges in the country , the APC Caretaker Chairman stressed the need for all and sundry to actively play their expected roles in curbing the menace .
